Cozy up with Sarah and her friends for more murder, quilting, and community
When sixty-eight-year-old Sarah Miller moves into the Cunningham Village retirement community, she is mourning the loss of her husband and the place that has been home for forty-two years. But Sarah is a survivor. As she reaches out into the retirement community that is to become home, she finds friends, activities, new hobbies, and a love interest.
The highly anticipated eleventh installment of this series of cozy mysteries begins with an appearance from Austin Bailey, renowned country singer—but before his concert can get off the ground, a young girl is murdered, and Sarah and her feisty cohort are hot on the case!
Beneath Missouri Stars is being released this month, May 25, 2020, and is available on Amazon for pre-order.
I know this has been a rough period for all of us. You haven’t heard much from me because I just haven’t felt like writing, but I’ve been thinking about my readers and my blogging friends and hope you are all doing well.
I’ve been spending my time making baby quilts. I wanted to sew but didn’t feel ambitious enough to take on a large quilt. Baby quilts are such fun to plan and make. I currently have ten completed and am wondering what to do with them. I may create an Etsy.com shop. I’ll do a separate blog about this and include pictures. It’s been a good way to keep my mind active because it included not just the planning and the piecing, but also learning how to do my own quilting, thanks to YouTube!
My very best wishes to everyone. Don’t forget I’m here if you want to share what’s been going on in your life, ask questions about me or my books, or just ventilate. QuiltingCozy@gmail.com comes directly to my personal computer at home. I look forward to hearing from you.
Now, don’t forget to scroll down to the COMMENTS section and leave a few words so you’ll have a chance to win the signed books. I’ll email you if you are one of the winners. (If you already have these books, they will make a great gift.)

Just wanted you to know Beneath Missouri Stars arrived today. I have been so looking forward to it.
What perfect timing too. Starting tomorrow we have rain predicted thru Saturday. The quilt in this book might be my next project. I have not been in a fabric store since mid March.
Pam tells me you are busy working on a very crafty
Love and Hugs Cecilia, Pam’s friend.
Hi Cecilia, you’ve been on my mind lately, wondering how you’re getting along during these unusual times. I’ve been in my sewing room most days making baby quilts and on YouTube learning how to do my own quilting. I’m about ready to give up on free-motion, but have been pretty successful with straight line quilting. I have a dozen baby quilts finished and am going to begin looking into getting an Etsy.com shop for them…or perhaps I’ll wait until I have a few more. Otherwise I, too, haven’t been in a quilt shop — or any other kind of shop — since early March. I even have my food delivered to the front porch! I have a respiratory problem and being in my 80’s, I don’t want to take any chances. But I’m having fun with my quilting and I’ve just about worn out my google search bar looking for baby quilt fabrics! Keep in touch and I hope you enjoy Missouri Star. Blessings, Carol
This is such a wonderful opportunity. Two things I enjoy, reading and quilting!
What d be better?
I want to win these books.
I’m babysitting with the grands 2 days a week and getting a lot of quilts finished up. Also doing much more cooking, which has turned out to be fun!
Lots of long naps on the couch watching TV and finishing up some UFO’s and sewing and ripping one new quilt pattern. Don’t watch TV while doing a complicated layout!
I want to win! I’m so excited a new one is coming soon!
I’ve been making masks for Our Community Health Clinic, family and neighbors. I also quilted on my domestic machine a graduation quilt (still need to bind). While going through stash for mask fabric, I pulled fabrics for doll quilts to give to Salvation Army for Christmas toy give-away

I would really really really love to win your books. Thank you. Kathie
I learn to quilt in 2013, while taking care of my beloved hubby. I have been working on my mystery quilts and quilt kits, so I can get by large quilt to the long arm to complete. One day I will be a longarm, I do my small ones.
I started a quilt series in 2019, enjoyed it. I would love to be able to read this series Please be safe and stay healthy. Trudy

I love msq with beautiful fabric and awesome quilting videos
My two favorite hobbies-quilting and reading! Would love to win these books!!!!
I just learned about you today. I love to read and I love to quilt. I would love to read your books and find a new author.
I just started quilting about 1-1/2 years ago. Quilting is my new passion, asmy previous passion is too hard on my body now. That would be Judo, which for 38 years has been part of who I am. I entered my first quilted project, a table center square I created for a friend, and won the 2nd place ribbon! I haven’t done much during the quarantine time, but I did finish some blocks, and started my two granddaughters’ quilts. I would love to win your books. Getting back to reading would be easier with books I could enjoy … A good whodunit mixed in with something I enjoy, quilting! It’s a win!
I would love to win the series! They are the best cozy mysteries I have read. Sarah and Sophie feel like old friends.
Love to read books about quilts. Library closed now so can’t get any new ones to read. Getting supplies ready to start quilting, start by making small quilts and wall hangings.
i need a cozy quilt book in my life right now. thanks for the chance to win.
Did not realize there were books available. Love the quilt on the cover, it is beautiful. Will look for your books.
I am thankful that I am retired, with grown kids that were not about ready to graduate and all the things those kids have had to miss this spring. We are weathering with some boredom but there is always plenty of quilts (and masks) to be made!
Your work is beautiful!! I have made three quilts. One for our daughter before she was born, two others for our two nephews. I bought some nice printed fabrics and simple quilted the outlines of the designs. Maybe I could learn to piece a quilt with your books.
Thank you for your kind generosity. Thank goodness for Amazon!!
I’ve been quilting for over 30 years – it’s my passion! Would love to read these cozy mystery books!!
I would love to win a set of your wonderful books. I am waiting for #11!! I would give this set to my daughter in law in NC. She loves to read your books when she is here at my home visiting. You are so gifted in your writing and of course, in your quilting.
I would love to win, these sound like wonderful books to read. Thanks for the opportunity
Glad to find this! I’ve only read a couple of your books. I’d love to catch up on the series!
Thank you for the give-away. I would love to win the set.
Who wouldn’t love a new book and even more special one with a quilting theme?
I sure would.
What a great way to brighten the day, a new quilt “book”.
Love the Cozy series books I have read so far. A quilt lesson is an added bonus! Thank you for the chance at the Cozies!
I’m looking forward to reading this newly discovered series! I would love to win the series. Have struggled with loneliness and motivation during this time, but have recently been able to get quilting!
Love signed books from authors.
Love your books!! These will make nice gifts if I win.
Being a new retiree and a not-so-new quilter I would love to meet some new literary friends to spend this quarantine with. Thank you for the opportunity!
I have been spending some time during this pandemic playing with fabric painting. Thank you for the chance at winning …. what a wonderful gift.
I am a 69 yo social worker, working from home right now. Have been working on masks for friends and family. Started quilting 4 yrs ago.
I would love to win this!!!!
Been busy learning about Quilting and DNA. Reading a lot of books.
Your books sound good. I’m a newly retired nurse, but still doing per diem. Plan to do lots of sewing and quilting, currently doing an online workshop for weaving narrow bands.
I started quilting on my honeymoon 41 years ago when I went to Punxsutawney PA to meet my new husband’s grandmother. I left with a copy of a pattern and a brown paper bag full of scraps to make a double wedding ring quilt – took me 5 years to piece and hand quilt. During this quarantine time I have been working on My quilt projects, crocheting (I make blankets for local NICU), and I made masks for my family members. I like to keep busy and do all crafts that involve a needle and/or thread. I love the more traditional patterns and touching fabric!
Quilting is my passion! I’ve retired and bought a long arm. I quilt my tops, make more, read about quilting and do a few quilts for others (to help pay for my habit), I’ve love to have this collection to read and savor,
I just found out about you thru Pat Sloan . She gave a list of authors with quilting in the story. Can’t wait to read your books.
Have been making masks to donate to local nursing homes and assisted living communities…..
I love your books and would love to win the set. Looking forward to reading the new one.
I want to win. Have enjoyed reading the books.
Just took up quilting at 72 this winter and your was the first YouTube video I watched. Thanks for all you do to help nourish our soul.
LOVE your books. I wish I had the talent and patience to quilt! I am spending my time blogging and hanging out with my cats!
How fun! I love quilting and mysteries.
Would love to read your books. Always looking for new authors
Congrats on your new book! During this pandemic, I washed, cut and ironed material which I donated to various groups who are sewing masks for our health care workers as well as our Quilt Group. I did online search’s and purchased items which are difficult to come by and donated them to those in need. It brings me happiness to be able to help in some way. As I am new to the group, I am beginning to learn how to use a sewing machine and look forward to the day I can make a quilt. It would be an honor to receive signed copies of your books as I have not had an opportunity to read any of your mysteries and it would be a wonderful treat to look forward to. Blessings, Peg Jones
My favorite hobby is coloring. Thank you for this generous opportunity.
I’ve been sewing up a storm. Masks, quilts and pet beds are a staple in my house. We’ve also lost a family member. Quilting has kept me same during his terminal illness. The family loved watching projects grown and finish. They have given me orders for more lol. I think a great bunch of books would break up the craziness! Lol thanks for the opportunity! Please keep writing.
I want to win!
I would love to win!!! Love to read and also quilt!
I’ve been spending my time looking after two of my granddaughters while my oldest daughter works from our home.
Spending my time quilting, reading and riding the bicycle trainer.
What a wonderful gift to win during this time . Thanks for the opportunity to try.. I never win but maybe my luck will change . Have not been quilting long but enjoying everything I have learned so far..

I am trying to finish some UFOs before I start another quilt. I’m looking forward to your new book. I am a native West Virginian by way of Huntington.
Wow, thanks for the fabulous giveaway. I’ve been getting into wreath making and doing some macrame.
I want to win. I have been devouring books since we got our Stay at Home order, and mysteries are my favorite.
I love these books! My hobby and go to during ‘shelter in place’ is reading, especially cozies involving crafts or food.
I’ve loved every one of your books and am so excited you have a new one coming out this month!
Love your books & it would be so much fun to win this set. I would read them & then share them with other quilters.
I would love to read your books. Besides reading I like to quilt, genealogy and jigsaw puzzles. Thanks for considering me!
Can’t wait for a new book to read. To me, there’s nothing like the feel of a real book when I curl up in bed at night. Digital books don’t do it for me and with the public library closed, I’ve had to reread all my old cookbooks! lol
Hi Carol! I am so thrilled the hear that a new book in the series in coming out THIS month. What a spot of good news. I have been reading these along with my sister – we both love to quilt. Since they are in the cozy mystery genre, our mother has been enjoying them as well. The set would look mighty fine in my library/office. Either way, you are loved and enjoyed as a writer. ~smile~ Roseanne
My favorite quilting series!❤️✂️🧵🥰
I’m reading a lot and doing some quilting. Right now I’m putting the binding on a quilt that I tried ruler work on. Don’t think that is for me,so finished the last 3rd with 2 different pantograph. It goes without saying that I would love to have the books.
I really enjoy your books and especially like that they have a quilting theme. I am getting through the pandemic by sewing more chemo quilts.
I love reading and quilting.
I pre-ordered the first day pre-ordering was possible. Love Carol’s quilting Mysteries and Sarah and Sophie but also the other characters she creates. I’ve read all the previous books on my Kindle but I need to win the hardcopies so that I can share them…..and get some other folks hooked on them!
I’d love to win these books, have so enjoyed the ones I have read
Most of my ” free” money has gone to making masks and I’m still trying to make charity quilts for veterans.
I have been doing more cooking and also playing video games online with my grandchildren and children, whom I miss very much
Fabulous to hear a new read is available soon. I ordered my copy last night when I saw the advertisement on CT Publishing’s email….so exciting to follow the adventures of Sarah and Sophie….I’ve been missing my friends during this pandemic….perfect timing for friendship renewal with those two adventuresome gals! Thank you so very much for your writing efforts. We all understand motivation is not easy during these most depressing times. Please take care and keep making those baby quilts….lots of new life starting out in the world and what better way to welcome them.
I’m spending my time doing a lot of cross stitching, a little mystery quilt sewing and lots of reading. I’d love to add your latest book to my reading list.
I’ve very much enjoyed reading your books. Would love to win the whole set!
I would love to win the series to give to my 87 year old aunt to read. She will love them and she is an avid reader. I think you writing really flows and is fun to read!
I’d love to enter, but seeing that I already have all of them, 😍and am waiting for your new book, I’ll step back and let someone else be the lucky one to discover this delightful series.
I’ve been sewing up a storm: one quilted, six tops, Christmas table topper, 5 quilted pillows (first time using zippered back, not so scary after all), seven tops in progress and one quilted frog (My sister and me pattern).
I’ll have you and the boys over for coffee and a “show and tell” when the all clear is given. And, congratulations on the new book release.
You continue to amaze me with your wonderful books. I enjoy reading about Sarah & Sophie’s exploits. And of course, the quilt patterns are a plus. Please continue the series!
My obsession is reading and sewing so I would LOVE winning these books!!
I love these books. Between reading and doing a quilt with 20 blocks of 24 pieces each, I do keep myself busy.
I love your books .. . fun to read and always interesting!
Love quilt novels. Love to read.
Thank you for the opportunity. I’m spending time with family and reading a lot. Also researching our family’s genealogy.
Enjoy your books so much. They provide coziness and a fun story about two great gals. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. I do lots of history and Biblical research and reading, along with a bit more cooking. We see family when possible.
I love your books. They are such A perfect fit for me. Easy, clean reading. Some involve national parks which is my passion next to quilts and I am a senior.
During this stressful time I have been at my job everyday. I have made mask for friends and family in my spare time.
