A Quilting Cozy series presents a lively retirement community

with quilts to be made

and mysteries to be solved

Tie Died

Tie Died is the first book in the Quilting Cozy series. Sarah, a seventy-something-year-old widow reluctantly moves into a retirement village where she becomes friends with her flamboyant neighbor, Sophie. As Sarah adjusts to this new life, the two women attempt to solve a murder while trying the patience of the local police department.

This twelve-book series continues with their escapades as they enjoy a quilting cruise, travel to a mountain quilt retreat, and have many other adventures and misadventures. Mysteries abound, but true to the nature of a cozy, the stories are more about relationships than mystery. And there’s lots of quilting!

(and each book includes instructions to make the featured quilt!)

To learn more about the series, please use the menu on the right to explore this website. You’ll find an overview of the series and a page that describes each book individually.   The entire series is currently available in both eBook and Print on Amazon and on the publisher’s website, C&T Publishing

A few comments received from readers:

“Thank you for writing this amazing wholesome quilting cozy series. I’ve enjoyed reading about Sarah and her friends. I’m looking forward to the next amazing adventure. Introducing us to the sensory stimulation quilt concept is wonderful. It is a gift I can make to ease someone’s agitation as they walk the dementia path.” Joan

“Just finished book nine! I LOVE this series!! I’m a new quilter and have been inspired to learn more from your books! I can’t wait for the next one!!” Kathleen

Just finished TATTERED & TORN and loved it as I have loved all the others. Please continue this series. It is so wonderful to read books that entertain, teach, inform and make me feel part of the town. I want to hear more. It has made me want to finish some of my ufos.” Carolyn

“Hi Carol, I’m also in my seventies and I used to be a quilter when my children were young, in the 70s and 80s. Now I’m trying to get back to quilting and your books have inspired me to do just that. I’m working on living healthier too, and I have been reading your books while I walk on the treadmill. I have 8 books on my Kindle and will be waiting for Tattered and Torn.” Wanda

“I just finished the fidget quilt and as always with the series loved it. I have been a quilter for thirty years and feel like Sarah and Sophie are my friends. Please keep more of their adventures coming! I am also going to suggest to my quilt group that we try making some fidget quilts too. Thanks for some of the best reading I’ve ever had.” Charlotte

  1. Just finished Tie Dyed and totally enjoyed it. Am looking forward to reading the entire series. I am a quilter and I’m 70 so it was easy to relate to the story.

    • Sally, I’m glad you enjoyed Tie Died and I’d love to hear from you after you read a few more. You are exactly the reader I was hoping to reach. So many novels have younger characters dealing with the problems of life that faced you and me so many years ago. My hope was to write for and about us older folks who have an entirely different perspective. So enjoy the books and please drop me an email (QuiltingCozy@gmail.com) and let me know how you like them. Thank you so very much for your comments. Carol
