During the spring, it became clear that Sarah and Sophie were both talking to me at once! They were demanding that they not be stuck away in the file cabinet nor allowed to collect dust on the bookshelf. They still had crimes to solve and quilts to make.
So I started writing and now have 40,000 words towards Book #11 temporarily entitled “Untitled.” A country singer (and local heartthrob) named Austin Bailey has appeared on the scene and, as usual, our leading ladies are in over their heads attempting to solve a crime.
I won’t say more because I don’t want to give anything away. (That’s not the real reason I won’t say more. As many of you know, I’m as surprised as everyone else when I get to the end of a book. I never know where it’s going or who did it until the words flow onto the page.)
Oh, and there will be lots of quilting.
What have you been working on?
So happy to hear this news. Can’t wait for the ladies to carry on with a new adventure. 😊😊

I tried to end the series with #10 but all the characters have become part of my world and I will probably just keep writing until Sophie, Sarah, and I are in our 90s! I’m glad you’re enjoying the books. Thanks for your comments. Please stay in touch!
I m so excited to hear you are writing #11. I am working on quilts, some BOM projects, The Queen ‘s Garden and an EPP, The Gardens of a King. Hmm, maybe a theme happening here. I just finished a 25 block Dresden Heart, done in Black and White, EPP and hand appliqued for my son’s wedding, Sept 14. Happy writing!
What an exciting batch of projects! I’d love to see pictures if you have any. (QuiltingCozy@gmail.com). I just completed the cover quilt for #11 and will put that in my next blog. Where did the summer go??
Debbie, I’m glad you enjoy following my characters. They’ve all become ‘friends’ of mine as well. I’ll let you know when I find out when Book 11 will be released. I’m guessing it will be after the first of the year. Thank you for commenting on my blog. Best wishes.
On wow! So happy to see you have another story to tell for your wonderful characters. Can’t wait.
I can’t wait to catch up with my old friends!
For the first time, my new book will need to clear through a publisher so I have no idea when it will be available. I’ll let everyone know when I find out. Thank you for following the series, Linda.
So glad Sarah and Sophie have been yammering at you, Carol! I am so looking forward to the next book. I haven’t been doing any quilting although I vowed I would get back to work on several projects this year. I haven’t been very well but I’m fighting back and hope to get back to my usual busy and healthy routines soon. Knowing I’ll soon have another of your books to read is putting a smile on my face today!
Hi Wanda, as always, it’s good to hear from you. I’m sorry you haven’t been well but glad you are fighting back. You’ll surely feel better once you can get your hands back into your fabric stash. Sometimes just handling it and playing around with possible combinations puts a smile on my face. Take good care and please stay in touch.
