A New Adventure for Sarah…(and more)

Excitement grows as the members of the Tuesday Night Quilt Club plan an antique quilt show, an opportunity for them to display their valued collections.

But things go terribly wrong.

Sarah and Sophie again throw themselves into an investigation, but this time Sarah finds herself in real danger!

As always, Sarah and her cohorts from the retirement village offer fun, mystery, and lots of quilting in this twelfth book of the series.

Watch for Frayed Edges: A Quilting Cozy by Carol Dean Jones which will be available in 2021 (currently available for pre-order on Amazon)

  • I hope everyone had a safe Thanksgiving. We all miss our extended families and friends but this will end before long and we can resume our lives. I have spent most of my at-home time making baby quilts and now have about 25 ready to take to a craft show when the world reopens.

During the last month, I’ve been concentrating on I SPY quilts. It occurred to me that there may be older siblings in the family who would also enjoy a soft cuddly quilt, and an I SPY offers that softness and cuddliness but also the potential for fun games and learning. Here are a couple of the ones I’m currently working on:

And I found this fabric at Hobby Lobby which I thought would make an interesting back for all of the I Spy quilts I’m making. The only problem is that the pattern is continuous, therefore Montana and North Dakota sometimes appears south of Texas! (I’ll leave it to the teachers to straighten out this misunderstanding.)

I decided to try a simpler pattern so I could have a stockpile of I Spy quilts:

So that’s how I’ve been spending my last couple of months. I previously posted some of my baby quilts. If you missed that one, you can see it here.

I hope everyone is doing well. I’d love to hear from you. I so enjoy the emails (QuiltingCozy@gmail.com) I get from you and your comments (below). My very best wishes to you and your families. We just have to hang in there a little longer…
