I want to begin by apologizing for my very long absence from my blog and from all my followers. I have no good excuse — other than to say that our unusual year has changed many of our routines and I’m hoping we are on the road to a new normal which will include staying in touch. I hope everyone is well and returning to work and school and especially to your friends and extended families. It’s been a long haul.
And second, I want to welcome my new followers. Many of you responded to the C&T newsletter and I promised a drawing (with five winners) for the first two books in the Quilting Cozy series: Tie Died and Running Stitches. That blog will go out on the same day that the new book is released – June 25th (Frayed Edges). So stay tuned.
Now, the third thing is both happy and sad. The sad thing first: my good friend Bernie, owner of Needle & Foot online shop has decided to retire. That means she will be closing her shop as soon as all her inventory is sold. Bernie carries an incredible array of fabrics from art gallery fabric to traditional, primitive, blenders, solids, and children’s fabrics just to name a few. She also carries wide backs and unique sewing notions!
And that brings us to the good news…
This is a five-star Etsy shop which values quality and customer service. Please visit Needle & Foot and scroll around to see what she has to offer. I love this shop! (And don’t forget to consider the author-signed Quilting Cozy books that she has.)
So that’s about it for today. It doesn’t make up for my absence over the past two months, but I’ve thought of my followers often…some have become lasting friendships. Please remember that I love hearing from each and every one of you. Let me know what’s going on in your lives, whether it’s quilt-related or not. You can leave a comment at the bottom on any blog or email me at QuiltingCozy@gmail.com
My very best wishes,
Carol
NOTE TO NEW FOLLOWERS: If you are interested, you can scroll back through past blogs just to get an idea of what we’ve been talking about. Also, this blog is inside my website so you can go to the menu and read about the series and about the author.
So look forward to your literary style again. Your characters have become friends & I look forward to the next installment.
Carol, I so look forward to your latest 📖. I’ve come to feel like your characters have become my friends. I’m in their age group as well. The past 11 books have gone so quickly since I began reading them 2 yrs ago. Great literary & creativity Carol

Can’t wait for June 25! Yeah a new book! Carol, yes it has been a very trying year for us all. So pleased to hear you have a new book adventure for us coming soon. We’ve missed our retirement pals! Thank you!
Bernie’s retirement is a happy/sad as most retirements are; we will miss her lovely shop but so pleased to see her able to enjoy the family as a reward for years of hard work. We’ve all come to that fork in the road…happy/sad! So great to receive your message today.
Bless you and thank you.
I appreciate your comments about the books and about Bernie. She’s very special and I too am so happy she’ll have time with family. My very best to you. Carol
