I know this has been a rough period for all of us. You haven’t heard much from me because I just haven’t felt like writing, but I’ve been thinking about my readers and my blogging friends and hope you are all doing well.
I’ve been spending my time making baby quilts. I wanted to sew but didn’t feel ambitious enough to take on a large quilt. Baby quilts are such fun to plan and make. I currently have ten completed and am wondering what to do with them. I may create an Etsy.com shop. I’ll do a separate blog about this and include pictures. It’s been a good way to keep my mind active because it included not just the planning and the piecing, but also learning how to do my own quilting, thanks to YouTube!

What perfect timing too. Starting tomorrow we have rain predicted thru Saturday. The quilt in this book might be my next project. I have not been in a fabric store since mid March.

Hi Cecilia, you’ve been on my mind lately, wondering how you’re getting along during these unusual times. I’ve been in my sewing room most days making baby quilts and on YouTube learning how to do my own quilting. I’m about ready to give up on free-motion, but have been pretty successful with straight line quilting. I have a dozen baby quilts finished and am going to begin looking into getting an Etsy.com shop for them…or perhaps I’ll wait until I have a few more. Otherwise I, too, haven’t been in a quilt shop — or any other kind of shop — since early March. I even have my food delivered to the front porch! I have a respiratory problem and being in my 80’s, I don’t want to take any chances. But I’m having fun with my quilting and I’ve just about worn out my google search bar looking for baby quilt fabrics! Keep in touch and I hope you enjoy Missouri Star. Blessings, Carol

Lots of long naps on the couch watching TV and finishing up some UFO’s and sewing and ripping one new quilt pattern. Don’t watch TV while doing a complicated layout!

I’ve been making masks for Our Community Health Clinic, family and neighbors. I also quilted on my domestic machine a graduation quilt (still need to bind). While going through stash for mask fabric, I pulled fabrics for doll quilts to give to Salvation Army for Christmas toy give-away

I learn to quilt in 2013, while taking care of my beloved hubby. I have been working on my mystery quilts and quilt kits, so I can get by large quilt to the long arm to complete. One day I will be a longarm, I do my small ones.

I just learned about you today. I love to read and I love to quilt. I would love to read your books and find a new author.
I just started quilting about 1-1/2 years ago. Quilting is my new passion, asmy previous passion is too hard on my body now. That would be Judo, which for 38 years has been part of who I am. I entered my first quilted project, a table center square I created for a friend, and won the 2nd place ribbon! I haven’t done much during the quarantine time, but I did finish some blocks, and started my two granddaughters’ quilts. I would love to win your books. Getting back to reading would be easier with books I could enjoy … A good whodunit mixed in with something I enjoy, quilting! It’s a win!

I am thankful that I am retired, with grown kids that were not about ready to graduate and all the things those kids have had to miss this spring. We are weathering with some boredom but there is always plenty of quilts (and masks) to be made!
Your work is beautiful!! I have made three quilts. One for our daughter before she was born, two others for our two nephews. I bought some nice printed fabrics and simple quilted the outlines of the designs. Maybe I could learn to piece a quilt with your books.

I started quilting on my honeymoon 41 years ago when I went to Punxsutawney PA to meet my new husband’s grandmother. I left with a copy of a pattern and a brown paper bag full of scraps to make a double wedding ring quilt – took me 5 years to piece and hand quilt. During this quarantine time I have been working on My quilt projects, crocheting (I make blankets for local NICU), and I made masks for my family members. I like to keep busy and do all crafts that involve a needle and/or thread. I love the more traditional patterns and touching fabric!
Quilting is my passion! I’ve retired and bought a long arm. I quilt my tops, make more, read about quilting and do a few quilts for others (to help pay for my habit), I’ve love to have this collection to read and savor,

Congrats on your new book! During this pandemic, I washed, cut and ironed material which I donated to various groups who are sewing masks for our health care workers as well as our Quilt Group. I did online search’s and purchased items which are difficult to come by and donated them to those in need. It brings me happiness to be able to help in some way. As I am new to the group, I am beginning to learn how to use a sewing machine and look forward to the day I can make a quilt. I’m reading a lot and doing some quilting. Right now I’m putting the binding on a quilt that I tried ruler work on. Don’t think that is for me,so finished the last 3rd with 2 different pantograph. It goes without saying that I would love to have the books.
